Prestage Foods invests in South Carolina

A Groundbreaking Expansion

In 2021, Prestage Foods announced the development of a new processing facility in Kershaw County, South Carolina. This $150 million investment is now operational, creating nearly 300 local jobs.

Located at Governor’s Hill Industrial Park in Camden, the facility is the second Prestage operation based in the state. Prestage Farms of South Carolina has been raising turkeys in the region since 1994.

The Prestage Foods plant processes turkeys using state-of-the art technology and high levels of automation. Technologies that increase sanitation as well as shelf life of products are utilized.
