Ingredients

8 oz. Bulk Pork Sausage
1 Frozen Deep Dish Pie Shell
1 1/2 c. Mushrooms, sliced
1/4 c. Onion, chopped
1/4 c. Red Sweet Pepper, chopped
4 oz. Cream Cheese, softened
4 Eggs
1/3 c. Half & Half Cream
1 c. Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
1 c. Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1/4 tsp. Each of Salt and Pepper
Dash of Ground Nutmeg

Cooking Directions

Partially bake the pie shell according to instructions, but only about half way.

In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat about 3 minutes, breaking into small pieces.

Add mushrooms, onion, and peppers to pan with sausage.

Cook and stir about 5 more minutes until sausage is done.

Drain and set aside.

Preheat oven to 350°.

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
8.
Mix in eggs and cream.
9.
Stir in cheese, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and the sausage mixture.
10.
Pour into pie shell and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until inserted knife in center comes out clean.
11.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
